Enabling Discussion in a Maths Classroom – Stepping Back | ah_haMaths

Since the start of the year I have been trying to improve the amount of discussion within my classroom with varying success.

I am fortunate that I’ve been working with my headteacher on aspects of my practice and this was something we decided to focus on. We watched 6 minutes (six!) of a lesson of mine and proceeded to speak for 55 minutes about techniques and strategies I can use to engage pupils and promote discussion.
