I recently read an article shared by a good friend and fellow teacher, via Facebook. It was a heartfelt piece by Chris Evans, who was highlighting the importance of parents reading with their children. As a teacher, and avid reader, naturally I agree and feel that my students should have literacy as an integral part of their lives, sharing and enjoying a good book of piece of writing regularly. However, although not a parent myself, but having had a step-son for the last 7 years, I can also sympathise that this is not always that simple.
