The UN created International Mother Earth Day to celebrate and remind us how the Earth and its ecosystems provide us with life and sustenance. Earth Day also celebrated on 22 April started in America in 1970 and is now a huge global movement. Both highlight the importance of taking actions to ensure we protect our home Earth.
When you’re living your day to day life it’s easy to forget that our collective home needs looking after like our own homes and we all have a responsibility to do our own bit whether it’s recycling, saving water and electricity or environmental campaigning.
