I have finally dropped the PGCE (well, kind of – I haven’t actually submitted the withdrawal form yet). But I will.

I cannot believe that anyone on this course can physically plan and teach effective lessons, complete 8 evidence trails, excel at observations, mark work, attend staff meetings, run after school clubs, attempt a social life, sleep, eat and breathe AND WRITE FIVE ASSIGNMENTS.

I salute the people who can. I cannot. I really wanted to complete the PGCE but due to some quite serious ups and downs throughout my experiences of teaching, I wasn’t sure I’d ever finish the SCITT,…
