Today, Thursday 15 June, the Social Mobility Commission published its Social Mobility Barometer – a poll of public attitudes towards social mobility. In a poll of 5,000 people, the overall findings were that most people believe there is a large gap between social classes in Britain today and nearly half believe where you end up in society is determined by your parents.
