There is much debate presently surrounding the value of ‘zero tolerance’ behaviour systems within a school. Some argue that you have to get behaviour right before you can teach effectively, and by extension before students can learn. While others argue equally as fervently that you need to teach engaging lessons in order to adjust the behaviour of your unruly teenagers.  I have always sat firmly on the ‘behaviour first ‘ side of the fence, believing in strong discipline systems that hold students to the highest of expectations.
