As a tennis-mad 13-year-old, I travelled to Street in Somerset with the Warwickshire junior county team to take on the might of Millfield School. With half the country’s top juniors in their squad, they were a formidable prospect. I am proud to say our defeat was a narrow one. But I was in love.
