It was Peter Pan, but not like we know it…

A cast of 80 11 to 14-year-olds from Christ’s Hospital staged an adaptation J.M Barrie’s classic tale. The modern day-version of the story is a new adaptation by Ella Hickson entitled Wendy and Peter Pan. Hickson script brings the character of Wendy more into focus. As director Zoe Munday explains, Wendy is ‘more adventurous and brave and won’t conform to the stereotypical female role portrayed in the original story.’

The show was completely sold out and ran for three nights. Over 300 local primary school children came to see the sold-out run…
