Teachmeet returns to Swansea on Thursday 30th March. The event will be held at Olchfa School (SA2 7AB) from 4.15pm and is free to attend.

You can sign up here, either as an audience member or (hopefully) as someone willing to share an idea!

Childnet Film Competition 2017 | learnictblog

Open to all UK schools and youth organisations, our annual competition invites all young people aged 7-18 to take on the challenge of creating a short film about internet safety. All films must showcase positive and inspiring use of the internet and clearly reflect our chosen theme.

Our judging panel will be looking out for films which are the most creative, inspiring and have a clear message. The three selected finalists from both the primary and secondary age category will be invited to a private screening at London’s BFI where they will be presented great prizes for their school or…

“In an Internet minute a lot of powerful things can happen. Things are also changing. Netflix was added to the circle. Streaming movies is making way for new technologies as we said goodbye to the VHS player this year. Soon our students will not know what a VHS tape is. Show them a floppy disk and see what they think it is! Tinder was also added showing the power of people connecting and meeting. Of course Uber is starting to trend in the things that happen on the Internet in a minute. This shows how much has changed in a few years. Imagine what will be in 2018? Maybe one of your students…

E-Learning Training on PREVENT | learnictblog

This offers an introduction to the Prevent duty, and explains how it aims to safeguard vulnerable people from being radicalised to supporting terrorism or becoming terrorists themselves.
